F.A.Q

Pastor Q Second Life Marriage MinisterGreetings from Pastor Q : Second Life Marriage Maestra.

An experienced SL officiant, I’ve been in the marriage business since early October 2006, and was thrilled to officiate at my 715th wedding at the end of October 08. I have the very best job possible in SL and I’m in constant contact with happy people.

Some may be a little nervous about how weddings work, about what they are supposed to do and, in general, about the whole ceremony thing. I take care of that. No worries. All you have to think about is what to wear.

What I do

I can travel anywhere, to your home, a garden, a Wedding Centre, (have podium – will travel) or you can use either of my locations, in a large church, or on a private beach.

I look after the poseballs for a large or small wedding, the walks for the major participants, coaching, prompts and support. I handle the ceremonial details .. simple, non-religious or otherwise, in short a ceremony of mine is a loving and sincere service. If you wish, I can help you with your vows too.

When you contact me (drop a notecard – my IMs are severely capped) we can discuss time, date and a few small details. From there I will write you a suggested Order of Service, leave that for the two of you to discuss, and make any revisions you may choose. Then I write up the Wedding Ceremony.

Yesterday was wonderful, Queenie. Thank you so much. :] You did a wonderful job. The service was just beautiful. I’ll never forget it. We’re so very fortunate we came across you to have as our minister. I couldn’t think of anyone better. Emmah Skytower

Ave Stella Maris
Open up my profile, look in Picks, and the first pick there is my church, Ave Stella Maris. Hail, Star of the Sea.

Ave Stella Maris, award winning Second Life ChurchThere’s room in any world for an old fashioned Church Wedding.

My beautiful cathedral won a prestigious award for best church build in SL. Believe me, the competition was fierce. My builder, Satir DeCuir, was neck and neck with the acclaimed Master Builder, Loki Ball, right to the finish line. Teleport over and have a look inside, it’s modeled on the Wells Cathedral in Somerset, England.

The church has all the pose balls which you will need. The Couple ball of course, and 3 balls for Maids and 3 balls for groomsmen. Plus my favourite, the Groom Waiting poseball (he fidgets). If you have a larger wedding party more balls are available. The pews also have individual sit balls.

To show the size I am standing at the church door, in my customary black. Click on the photo for a larger image.

It’s lovely, light and spacious, with very high ceilings for long camera angle shots, loads of room for any number of guests and for the most elaborate bridal frock. Perfect for the slow Wedding Walk down the aisle! It really is such a lovely build.

Brides’ Retiring Room

Don’t forget the Brides’ Retiring Room (down by the boardwalk – TP on the church steps) a peaceful refuge for the Bride and her Maids, away from prying eyes, before she makes her Grand Entrance. The Brides’ Retiring Room has a pose stand, a sophisticated stiletto chair, a comfy couch and a daybed. From inside you can pan your camera to watch the guests gathering in the pavilion and the action inside the church. When I call in private IM, the Bride hops on the TP and lands close to the Wedding Walk animated poseballs.

My Beach Wedding

Weddings on the beach are always soooooooo romantic. This is one of my favourite photos, taken at sunset. Click on the photo to see a slightly larger image.

This is the Kampong on my private beach. In itself, it’s quite large. There is also a small spot right on the beach, a simple arch with a couple’s Wedding poseball, facing the ocean and enclosed on three sides by tropical flowers. Perfect for those couples who just want to get married without the fuss of having anyone else present.

There’s another Malaysian building here, set up with wedding cake and champagne. It’s an opportunity to take some photographs of the couple cutting the cake, feeding each other a slice, and toasting each other with the champagne. Guests may also toast the couple.

It’s very quiet here, a private mini island boasting traffic of between 5 and 10.

If you would like to see this private wedding setup, drop me a notecard and I will be more than happy to show you around. Oh, the dogs are harmless, but I like to restrain them to 10 X 10 when guests are on the premises. Otherwise they will lick you to death.

Willow and I can’t stop talking about how special you made us feel yesterday and how you took the time with us like we had 75 people at our wedding when it was in fact just our friend Lara taking pics for us. Tack Mayo and Willow Larkin

Please note my times
From November 2008, I prefer not to work between the hours of 7.00 am and 1.00 pm.
However, if these hours are the only times suitable to you, drop me a notecard as, depending on the day of the week, I can sometimes be available if given at least 3 days warning.
