My little hideaway and the setting for a few private weddings.

Clancy of the Overflow gets a small spot in this. He’s a young dog, and trainable, like all of the fabulous dogs from the Virtual Kennel Club.

I’m so excited! I’m going on TV! Not just any old TV of course, but the incredible SLCN.TV itself!

Well, I must be really truthful and admit I have been approached about appearing on SLCN.TV. (Fingers crossed)

If you don’t know SLCN.TV, you’ve been missing out. It’s the premium television of SL. You can see the screens at various places, the big screens in nightclubs and in shopping malls. I will whip up a list of the locations a little later.

But SLCN.TV has an even better feature, a little beauty. You don’t even have to be logged in to view a show. You don’t even have to be a resident of Second Life to view it!. Anyone can enjoy the world’s first virtual TV network. (more…)

Retreat into Space

Outside my private orbSee this little ball? The photo doesn’t show its location .. it’s a few hundred metres up overhead.

This is my little retreat, my mini observatory, where I sit and watch the walls spinning around me.

Originally it was just a little ball with a rug and a couch inside it where I would sit to puzzle out my accounts. After some months of fruitlessly working out my accounts with simple arithmetic I now export all financial data in an XML file. A hell of a lot easier. (A heaven of a lot easier?)

Inside my private orbSo I was left with a tiny orb hovering over my land. Use to store a backup Apez server? Put some rarely-used items from my inventory into a box, and store boxes in a wardrobe in the clouds?

A little make-over and I am at the centre of the solar system pondering the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

A perfect spot to sit and write up ceremonies — the swirling planets put me in the mood. Some people I know go journeying on rugs in sweat lodges to the rhythm of soft deerhide drums. I like the music of the spheres.
