Love in the Recession

Recession does strange things to people. They can turn to drink, to drugs, even to despair. Other people turn to love. I’ve had a sudden upsurge in bookings, much more than the comparative seasons of the last two years. But is it love, do you think?

I’ve seen a few couples recently who are now sharing land, one partner selling the former plot. Curiously, it’s most often the men who sell and then move in with their partner, maybe she just has more flair with decor.

Sharing land makes sense in financial terms, why pay for two homes? All land payments go up in January too, it’s a good time to cut down.

But I’m sure there’s real love out there too. Hard times can bring friends closer together.
