How could I have walked around SL for a couple of years and not noticed the Second Life Shakespeare Company? But here they certainly are!
I’m not going to miss the full ensemble performance of Twelfth Night :Act 1 which opens on November 13 in a special short-run advance mini season as part of the company’s Fall Season 2008 repertoire.
In the SL Globe Theatre (of course!) the company uses multiple rotating sets, brand new incognito animation preloading, full global lighting and even weather control as stagecraft technologies. What an extravaganza!
Here’s the details.
Directed by Ina Centaur and Voice Directed by Enniv Zarf.
Cast : MadameThespian Underhill, Joff Fassnacht, Prospero Frobozz, Ludo Merit, Maedin Tureaud, and Lorne Harlequin, and a motley cast of “silent actors” who create a different variation of a background crowd each time.
The international subtitles and their “Pay as you Will” philosophy should bring in crowds.
