Have you noticed that fairies, faeries and all things fae have become popular of late?

Perhaps Matika Wombat started it all with her Fairy Outfit Tutorials, but a meme has become a standard and the fairies have come out from under the mushrooms.

Popular Model and Girl-About-Town , Desiree Lura, started her own little fairy garden this week. (Click on Desiree’s photo for the full image).

Apart from being splashed around on Simone’s advertising, Desiree is known for her UK Couture franchise. After dealing with beautiful clothes in her working life, there’s no way she’s going to be involved with any old shoddy garment from a BIAB vendor.

She would have to be permanently away with the Fairies to do that.

The Egypt Lives! exhibit in Cybertopia was extended to the end of February to cope with the crowds who came to gawk.

Professor Agapantha Asano, first woman to graduate in Classics from Oxford (1854), first woman to discover the source of the Nile (1856), the original Tomb Raider of the Valley of the Queens, traveled by dhow, crocodile and camel caravan for fourteen long, hot, sandy months to present this amazing exhibit for the edification of all residents.

When asked her overall impressions of the mysterious lands of the Pharoahs, she replied : “Long time, no sea”.

Each Wednesday at 2.00 pm till February 27th 1858 (SL time 2008) the intrepid explorer will lecture on the ancient wonders of the Old Kingdom, the eerie gods of the Egyptian Underworld and the hazards associated with travelling in long frocks.
